Ministry

Everyone in the local church is called to be serve. We need to use the grace and gifts of God to minister and grow within the body of Christ. This involves learning and teaching; loving and caring for each other; building one another up. That is what a Godly family assembly does. And then we must minister to those outside that haven't experienced God's love and desire for them. Beyond the local level we share in the global ministry of the Church of God (Seventh Day) with headquarters in Denver, Colorado.

A Legacy in Tulsa

COG7 has served Tulsa metro for more than 50 years. We are a generous and dedicated church who cares for its members as family and seeks to serve our community in any way we can.

Our Pastor

We do not currently have a Pastor. The local Elders oversee the church.

FREE Movie Nights

For several years we have shown high quality, good moral or Christian based movies once a month. Always purchasing the commercial license to show them. This ministry is not currently active as we explore other options.

Witnessing at the park

When weather permits we have some that go to an area park to share the Good News a couple times a month.

Partnership with East Central High School

In 2019 we began a partnership with East Central High School, which is just up the road from the church. We donate various items (clothes, food, personal items, school supplies) to students in need. ECHS staff distribute these items to students and their families.

Men's Ministry

Our men's ministry is currently participating in a chapter of FC414. This is a ministry where men hold each other accountable on a daily basis in spiritual, physical, and relational matters while completing fun and challenging tasks each week.

Orphans Ministry

The local church sponsors orphans through the Orphans and Widows Ministry of the Church of God Seventh Day Mission Ministry. We have sponsored several orphans in the past who graduated from the program.

Tulsa State Fair Booth

We have ministered at the Tulsa State Fair with a booth. Our focus has not been on "recruiting" for the local church but sharing the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the importance of recognizing where each of us stands at the Judgement without committing our lives to Jesus Christ. The last couple years we incorporated iPads to attract young people to our survey/challenge.

King's Kids Ministry

King's Kids is for ages 2-12. It includes Sabbath School every week, Children's Church during service the first Sabbath of each month (emphasis on Bible Memory), monthly activities (a social, service project, field trip, etc.), and Vacation Bible School in the summer.

Vacation Bible School

We minister to kids with Vacation Bible School each summer. We share Bible principles and lessons, have skits, crafts, snacks and games. See past VBS programs below.
