Everyone in the local church is called to be a minister. We need to use the grace and gifts of God to minister and grow within the body of Christ. This involves learning and teaching; loving and caring for each other; building one another up. That is what a Godly family assembly does. And then we must minister to those outside that haven't experienced God's love and desire for them. Beyond the local level we share in the global ministry of the Church of God (Seventh Day) with headquarters in Denver, Colorado.
We've been around
COG7 in Tulsa has served the local community for more than 50 years. We work at being a friendly church congregation. Guests should feel they are welcome to return and know they are very important in God's sight and ours.
FREE Movie Nights
For the last few years we have shown high quality, good moral or Christian based movies once a month. These are on 3rd Saturday nights, quarterly since 2017. We pay the commercial license fee so the community can enjoy and benefit from these movies. Generally, FREE soft drinks and popcorn!
Next Movie: TBD Apr 21st, 7:00pm

Tulsa State Fair Booth
COG7 Tulsa ministered at the Tulsa State Fair with a booth from 2010-2014. Our focus has not been on "recruiting" for the local church but sharing the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the importance of recognizing where each of us stands at the Judgement without committing our lives to Jesus Christ. The last couple years we incorporated iPads to attract young people to our survey/challenge.
2014 Fair Booth
We had a theme of "What's the difference?", focusing on "Mistakers" verses "Sinners". There were lots of opportunities to interact with people and challenge them to seek a Savior and not just be satisfied with "Oh, my bad!"

Vacation Bible School
We minister to kids with Vacation Bible school when resources are available to support the work required. It is a great privilege to minister to kids in and out of the church.
