Lord's Supper service
The resurrection of Jesus is a critical event in human history.  However, the instruction we are left with is to not forget His death.  Paul left the following instruction with the church at Corinth (1 Corinthians 11:23-32): For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it , and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it , in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.  For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
COG7 Doctrinal statement on the Lord's Supper
At the Lord's Supper,  unleavened bread and fruit of the vine are received as symbols of our Lord's body and blood, which He offered as a sacrifice for sin.  In this memorial of the Lord's death, we illustrate our union with the Savior, commune with others as the body of Christ, and proclaim our hope in His return.  Unfermented grape juice is the symbol we choose for His blood.  Because the first Lord's Supper was at Pasover, we have choosen to observe it on Nisan fourteen of the Hebrew calendar.  We extend charity toward those who may observe communion at other times.  At the supper, we follow Jesus' example and command by washing one another's feet in service and humility.
See Matthew 26:17-19, 26-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:19,20; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 17; 11:23-26; John 13:1-17.
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump,as ye are un- leavened. For even Christ our PASSOVER
is sacrificed for us.
